SwaddleDesigns Launches New Collection at Nordstrom

Nordstrom Offers over 50 SwaddleDesigns Essentials
 

Seattle, Washington (May 18, 2009) – SwaddleDesigns® announced today the expansion of the SwaddleDesigns Collection at Nordstrom.  SwaddleDesigns, the trend-setting, Seattle-based company, continues its growth by introducing useful and fashionable products that help new parents care for and comfort their babies.

Over the past four years, SwaddleDesigns has grown from a small start-up with six products in select Nordstrom stores to become Nordstrom’s most prominent brand in the newborn and layette department with over fifty items.  The new collection debuting at Nordstrom includes SwaddleDesigns Puff Circle stroller blankets and award-winning zzZipMe Sack™ in a fresh pastel color palette.  Additionally, SwaddleDesigns is introducing its expanded Organic collection featuring SwaddleDesigns signature Mod Circle print on creamy ivory GOTS certified organic cotton.  The new Organic Collection includes the award-winning Ultimate Receiving Blanket®, and Terry Velour Hooded Towels, Baby Washcloths and Baby Burpies™.

Lynette Damir - Founder, CEO and Creative Director. Lynette is a registered nurse and mother of two.  She was inspired to create stylish and functional products to help parents care for their new babies.  Lynette uses her medical background and her design education at the Art Institute of Seattle to design award-winning products like the Ultimate Receiving Blanket. Lynette designs SwaddleDesigns’ exclusive prints and she selects every component based on its color, texture and quality. Today, SwaddleDesigns offers new parents over 300 items with many designer collections. 

Jeff Damir is President & COO of SwaddleDesigns.  Jeff is a high tech executive with a Stanford MBA and over 10 years of start-up experience. Jeff is responsible for the business operations, production, sales, finance, and legal.  Together, Lynette and Jeff lead the company with their complementary skills and experience.
