Our award winning Transitional Swaddle Sack® works well for babies during the second stage between snug swaddling and wearing a loose sleeping sack. It's the solution that parents have been searching for and it’s designed by a nurse! It features uniquely shaped 1/2 length arms up sleeves with foldover mitten cuffs that may be worn open or closed. SwaddleDesigns Transitional Swaddle Sack is an important safer sleep option for babies who can roll over because the sleeves allow babies to use their arms to push up and reposition their head if they roll over.

Our Transitional Swaddle Sack is convertible and easy to use. It's great for babies who prefer to sleep with arms up and for babies who like to self-soothe on their fingers.

With the mitten cuffs folded closed, the specially designed 1/2 length sleeves provide partial suppression of the Moro (startle) reflex. Parents may choose to open one or both cuffs so baby can self-soothe on their hand.

Our Transitional Swaddle Sack is deemed Hip Healthy by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute, because it allows room for baby's hips and knees to flex and move, while still offering support.

It's easy to use! Fold the mitten cuffs closed, unzip the sack and place baby's arms into sleeves, place baby’s legs into sack and zip up. Baby's arms will be in a flexed position close to body. With cuffs closed the sleeves provide the best suppression of the Moro (startle) reflex. The closed cuffs also protect from facial scratches. You may choose to open a cuff, so baby may suck on fingers. Babies who can self- soothe are calmer and sleep better. We don't recommend pulling baby's arms all the way through the sleeve openings. If you pull the baby's arm all the way through the sleeve, the sleeve will be elbow length and will provide less suppression of the Moro (startle) reflex.

The sack’s ergonomic design features a snug midsection to provide snugness to reassure and comfort baby.

Our Transitional Swaddle Sack features a 2-way zipper, so diaper changes are easy. Just unzip from the foot to access the diaper.

The Transitional Swaddle Sack is designed to bridge the gap from classic snug swaddling to loose fitting sleeping sack.  When baby is ready to transition from a snug swaddle or can roll over, but is not yet ready for a sleeveless wearable blanket, the Transitional Swaddle Sack is the perfect solution for a good night’s sleep and peace of mind.

Awesome sleep sack

Love these swaddle sacks! My baby is a finger sucker and is able to get to his hand easily to self soothe. These sacks hug the torso, so when my baby moves it moves with him, no worrying about getting tangled up while sleeping. The cotton fabric is very soft and great for the summer heat, I’m not worried about my baby getting too hot or cold.

This swaddle was absolutely amazing, so amazing that I just ordered more! My first child loved to be tightly swaddled. This little one does not! He punches through his swaddle and kicks his way out. I needed something to still keep him warm and cozy at night but also help keep him calm when he does his normal baby spasms with his arms or startled himself. Normally when he gets his arms out of his swaddle and then eventually startled himself, he wakes up because he panics. This helps keep him calm! I love this swaddle!!

A Customer,
Only sleep sack my baby wants

My baby loves to sleep with his arms up and this helped him sleep how he wanted but also keep him sleeping when he'd twitch and move his arms at night

Not Too Restrictive

LOVE! We started out using the Love to Dream Swaddle Up, then switched our daughter to the Swaddle Sack when she was 3.5 months and started showing signs of wanting to roll over. She isn't ready to go completely without the arms because she still has some of the startle reflex. Also, she refuses any pacifiers, so she does rely on having her hands to soothe herself. Other swaddle sacks are so expensive, too; this was an inexpensive sleep saver!

Swaddle works for babies who like their hands up.

This is a great alternative to traditional swaddling. Your baby can get the benefits of reducing the start of a flex without the caregiver having to be a skilled swaddler. For babies who like to have their hands up or older babies transitioning, this is really helpful. The fabric is soft and the prints are subtle. Getting the benefits of swaddling and reducing the risk of overheating is important and this makes it easy.
